A Story Where That Grows Part 2 (生えちゃう話その2, Hae Chau Hanashi Sono 2) is a special chapter of Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!. It was originally published in the Onimai Side Reader: Mihari's Laboratory on August 13, 2023.
Summary[]
Tsubasa accidently causes Mihari to ingest one of her experimental drugs.
Plot[]
One morning, Mihari opens the door to the research lab and says good morning to everyone. She notes that it is so hot, and Arika says that summer is in full swing. Tsubasa comes holding two glasses saying that some water should cool her down, and Mihari thanks her. Mihari takes a sip from the glass then notes that it definetly isn't water. She says that it is awful and asks what it is. Tsubasa realizes that she accidently passed Mihari the wrong glass. Mihari is shocked and asks what she just drank. Tsubasa tells Mihari that she just drank a drug that makes her grow a certain "something", causing Mihari to cringe over this happening to her yet again.
Mihari soon tenses up and notes that she can already feel her body tingling. Arika and Tsubasa are left in suspense as Mihari announces that this time it is really coming.
It is soon revealed that Mihari has turned into a cat girl, having grown kitty ears on her hair and a long tail. She notes that she certainly did grow something, while Arika is overjoyed noting how cute Mihari is. Mihari asks Tsubasa to confirm that it will wear off, and Tsubasa estimates that it'll wear off by tomorrow.
Tsubasa then gets a sinister expression on her face and decides to do something before it wears off, much to Mihari's shock. Tsubasa holds out a cat toy and Mihari starts to visibly react. Soon, Mihari is on the ground rolling on her back while Tsubasa waves the cat toy around, much to Arika's enjoyment. Arika notes that Mihari really is just like a little kitty, and Mihari blushes furiously noting that her body is reacting on it's own. Arika asks Mihari if she can touch the base of her tail, causing Mihari's back to arch when Arika pets her. Tsubasa tells Mihari that she made sure to get a restroom ready for her, which is a litter box. Mihari cringes over losing her dignity.
Chitose soon comes in and congratulates everyone for their good work. She holds up a bottle and notes that a professor she knew gave it to her as a souvenir. She shows that it is silver vine sake, and notes that it is pretty unique. Chitose uncorks the bottle and takes a whiff, noting that such a scent would make any cat swoon. Arika and Tsubasa are horrified and yell for Chitose to hurry and close the bottle. It is too late though as Mihari catches a whiff, becomes extremely intoxicated, and moves in to kiss Chitose much to her horror.
Later that day, Mihari arrives home and announces it. Mahiro, who is reading a book on the couch, notices that Mihari is wearing a wrap over her head (to cover up the kitty ears) and asks if it's supposed to be some kind of new fashion statement. Mihari says that it is something like that and begins to leave. All of a sudden, she sees Mahiro's ahoge and can't resist her kitty instincts. She bites Mahiro's ahoge from behind, much to Mahiro's shock.
By the next day, Mihari turns back to normal without incident. She notes that she knows that no one meant anything by it, but having people drinking all sorts of strange drugs raises many alarms. She notes that this research lab sorely lacks anything resembling ethics or safety precautions, something that Chitose realizes is very true.
