Idol Stuff (アイドルもの, Aidoru Mono) was a proposed manga series written and illustrated by Nekotofu in 2014. Although he worked on two chapters, he ultimately decided not to move forward with the series and it was shelved. Several of the characters from the series would later appear as background characters in Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!. Nekotofu would later release both chapters to paid subscibers on his Fanbox account in 2018.
Taking place three years before the start of Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!, the series centered around the everyday antics of a group of idols who weren't particularly active. It was intended to ride the wave of idol movies during their heyday when Love Live was a big hit.
Despite working on two chapters of the proposed series, Nekotofu never finished either chapter and never showed the concept to any magazine for potential publication. Several characters from the series later appeared in Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!, placing the events of both chapters as having taken three years before the start of the latter.
Nekotofu later released both chapters to paid contributors to his Fanbox account. The first chapter was released on May 29, 2018, and the second was released on June 28, 2018.
Another character named Momiji Hozuki was set to appear as a main character in this series. The name was later recycled for the character of the same name seen in Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!, abeit with the kanji for "Momiji" changed. Any connection between both characters, if any, has yet to be revealed.
According to Nekotofu, "Idol Stuff" was merely a placeholder title with no guarentee that it would be the final title if the series had actually gone ahead.
Around the time that Nekotofu released both chapters, he expressed interest in eventually creating finalized versions of the chapters and releasing them as doujinshi, though as of 2025 nothing has come of this statement.
