Mahiro's Cosplay Round-Table (まひろとコスプレ談義, Mahiro To Kosupure Dangi) is a bonus chapter of Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!. It was originally published exclusively in Tankōbon Volume 7 which was released on January 7, 2023 in Japan, and July 25, 2023 in North America.
Summary[]
Mahiro and her friends have a discussion about cosplay.
Plot[]
Mahiro sits at her desk in deep thought. Momiji asks her what's wrong, and Mahiro says that was just thinking back. She says that this volume sure has had a lot of cosplay in it, remembering the yukata, the maid outfit, and the cheerleader uniform. Asahi is confused by the use of the phrase "volume". Mahiro notes that if this keeps up it'll become a cosplay manga. Asahi is once again confused by the use of the phrase "manga", and Momiji notes that they've gone full meta today.
Miyo then points out that it's not so as there's not enough cosplay, much to everyone's confusion. She points out a panel from a previous chapter, which Mahiro realizes shows the Cutie Pure cosplayers from Chapter 68. Miyo beams, noting that those two costumes would fit Mahiro and Momiji to a T. Nayuta imagines it and notes that it really does seem like they'd look great. Momiji isn't sure how to feel while Mahiro seriously considers it.
Mahiro notes that since they've come this far, they may as well go all out. She decides that they should think of roles for everyone and make them all Cutie Pures.
Mahiro notes that a sporty, energetic character suits Asahi best, giving her the role of Pure Red.
Miyo notes that for Nayuta, a cool, aloof type works, giving her the role of Pure Blue.
Asahi asks what role Miyo would fill, leading to Miyo embarassingly saying that she doesn't need on. Nayuta says that they can't have that, and Mahiro decides that Miyo will be the team's sex appeal, giving the role of Pure Pink much to Miyo's embarassment.
Mihari and Kaede show up with Kaede asking Mahiro to include them in the mix as well. Mahiro calls it perfect timing, but notes that they already have their sexy quota filled. Momiji suggests that Kaede could be the villainess, and Mahiro notes how perfect that it.
Mahiro adds that Mihari could be the mad scientist, but Miyo and Nayuta can't picture her as looking too different than she is now. Asahi asks how that's different from how she always is, and Mahiro notes that it's not her fault that Mihari dresses in cosplay every day. Mihari is shocked and tells Mahiro not to make fun of her like that.
Mari-chan-sensei overhears the discussion and immediately becomes enamored at all the ideas due to her love of cosplay.
