Mihari tells Mahiro to clean up her room.
Plot[]
Mahiro smiles as she lies on her bed. She notes that the trip to the beach was so fun, but that nothing beats staying at home for relaxing. Mihari comes in later to say hi to Mahiro, only to become horrified by what she sees. Mahiro is lounging around eating potato chips, stuff is scattered everywhere and the trash hasn't been taken out. Mahiro asks Mihari if she wanted something, and Mihari orders her to clean her room.
Mihari snaps, saying how she leaves Mahiro alone for a minute and she makes a mess of the place. Mahiro notes that Mihari's "mom-mode" is active again. Mihari tells Mahiro that she'll never be a proper wife at this rate, but Mahiro asks who said that she would. Mahiro stretches out facedown on the bed saying that this lever of clutter is good enough for her, as she just needs to stretch out her hand and everything she could ever want is within reach. Mihari takes one of Mahiro's gaming systems, over Mahiro's protests, and orders her to clean up the room now if she wants it back. Mahiro reluctantly agrees to do so.
As Mahiro begins to clean up, Mihari tells her that she sure has a lot of stuff in her room. She suggests that they use the opportunity to pare it down a bit, an idea that Mahiro immediately refuses. Mihari says that they can get rid of the junk that Mahiro doesn't need, saying that a clean room is a clear head. She adds that she's not going to force Mahiro to get rid of anything, but at the very least asks Mahiro if she's reread the books on the top shelf. She points out to Mahiro that she can't even reach that high anymore, and Mahiro says that despite this she was hoping to reread them someday.
Mihari asks Mahiro if they can get rid of some old video games, but Mahiro stops her by pointing out that they are valuable.
Mihari notes that Mahiro hasn't even taken several figures out of their packaging. Mahiro points out that they are supposed to be like that.
Mahiro grabs back the sealed figure from Mihari's hands telling her to stop touching her stuff, and insists that she'll do it herself.
Thinking of stuff she doesn't need, Mahiro decides that the most objectionable stuff is in her closet. Mihari tells her that she should make rules for what to get rid of, such as stuff she hasn't used in the past year or stuff that she can always buy again when she needs it.
Looking through her closet, Mahiro is shocked to find her old male clothes, especially as Mihari previously claimed to have thrown them all away. Mihari notes that Mahiro sure hasn't used them, but decides to let Mahiro keep them anyway.
Eventually, the room is tidied up and Mahiro asks Mihari if this is the kind of thing that she was looking for. It is revealed that Mahiro only filled up the junk box with a few items. She notes that she was very strict in her "keep" criteria, while Mihari laughs over the fact that Mahiro didn't get rid of all that much. She says that it's fine though as they still got the place cleaned up, with Mahiro noting that it does feel kind of nice.
Mahiro decides that next they will do Mihari's room, much to Mihari's shock. She realizes that once Mahiro is in focus mode, she has to keep going.
Mihari insists that she keeps her room tidy, but Mahiro tells her not to let this chance pass by. Looking at Mihari's room, Mahiro is surprised to see how tidy it is, but opens the closet and wonders if it is tidy is there as well. The question is answered when a large pile of stuffed animals (including the two the Mahiro had previously won for Mihari at the amusement park) fall out of the closet and onto the floor. Mahiro is shocked that there are so many, and suggests that they get rid of some. Mihari refuses, claiming that every single one of them is her precious child. Mahiro understands, and thinks how she never knew that Mihari was a collector as well, and believes that it must run in the family.
Continuing to look through the closet, Mahiro notes that there's just clothing left. Mahiro finds a really frilly outfit and notes to Mihari that she doesn't even wear stuff like this. Mihari insists on keeping it because its cute. She also tells Mahiro to look at it like this: that she herself can wear these things when she grows in a bit more. Mahiro is shocked and asks Mihari just how far ahead she is plotting.
Mahiro decides to go through Mihari's drawers as well and opens one. Mihari tells her not to, and Mahiro sees why as she pulls out a very adult set of panties. She quickly puts them back, shuts the drawer, and bows to Mihari on the floor begging her to pardon her. Mihari becomes angry and embarrassed and shoves Mahiro outside, telling her that she's not allowed in her room anymore. Mahiro flumps forward on the floor, reflecting on her actions and noting that the thing Mihari ended up throwing out was her.
Mahiro decides that she has no choice and heads downstairs to clean up the living room. She notices that it's already clean, and starts looking through a cabinet for something she can tidy up. While she's doing so, she comes across something that catches her eye.
Sometime later, Mihari comes down from her room with the junk box. She breathes a sigh of relief and notes that she really did have some things to get rid of. As she enters the living room, she notices Mahiro on the couch looking through an album with several things scattered on the table. She scolds Mahiro for making a mess again, but Mahiro tells her to check this out as she found a bunch of old photos. Mihari is excited and begins to look through them as well.
She finds an old photo of Mahiro, as a boy, when she was a kid, and notes that she was very cute. She adds that if she grew out her hair back then, she'd look just like she does now. Mahiro doesn't know how to feel about that.
Mahiro finds another photo of Mihari when she was in kindergarten, which Mihari calls embarrassing. Mahiro notes that now Mihari has become a mature adult. Mihari is touched, but wonders if Mahiro thinks this because of the mature underwear that she found. Mahiro sees Mihari glaring at her and insists that that's not what she mean, pointing out a photo of Mihari at her elementary school entrance ceremony. Mihari is amazed at how young she looked.
The two continue to look at the photos, seeing ones from field day, and even family vacations. Both siblings smile, feeling all warm and fuzzy as they're reminded of their past.
Eventually, time gets away from them and Mahiro realizes that it is dark outside. She freaks out, wondering how it got this late and noting that she got so absorbed in what they were doing. She remembers suddenly that she came down here to clean up, and realizes that she only made more of a mess. Mihari laughs and notes that it is easy to get distracted when you clean up, and suggests that they take care of it together.
As they clean up, Mahiro notes a small victory by saying that memories can never be thrown out. Mihari tells her to forget that and to help her tidy the room.
Mihari is later seen holding one of her stuffed animals, blushing as she does so.

- Based on Mahiro's statements, the events of this chapter appear to take place within a few days of the beach trip that occurred in "Mahiro's Beach Fun (Part 1)", "Mahiro's Beach Fun (Part 2)", and "Mahiro and the Squishy Thingie".
- Mihari tries to get rid of the manga that Mahiro has on her top shelf. Mahiro tried to reread those in "Mahiro Starts Over", where she climbed onto another shelf to reach them and disturbed a box above them which fell on her head. This caused her to temporarily lose her memories and revert to a younger personality.
- Mihari had previously claimed to have gotten rid of Mahiro's male clothing in "Mahiro Faces the Mirror", however it is revealed in this chapter that she put hid them in Mahiro's closet. It can be considered surprising that Mahiro went almost an entire year without noticing this.
- Mihari is still shown to have the Oshima stuffed animals that Mahiro won for her at the Oshimaen amusement park in "Mahiro and the Gifted Experience" and "Mihari and the Stuffed Animal".
- This is the first chapter to show in any capacity what Mahiro's face looked like as a boy, although what he looked like directly before Mihari's experiment began is still unknown. Previously, the face had been obscured, featureless, or shown only from the back.
