Plot[]
A female newscaster reports on the Christmas season, noting that the trees are up and the lights are twinkling. She also notes that with the streets full of couples hand-in-hand, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Mahiro, revealed to be watching the story on her TV, turns away from the program in disgust, calling it an eyesore.
Mihari sarcastically asks Mahiro if days like this are for spending all day indoors playing video games. Mahiro doesn't pick up on the sarcasm and remarks that Mihari is finally speaking her language. Mihari points out that she was kidding and remarks that she and Mahiro have pretty different ideas on how the day should look. She then mentions that she's got a big date today, which gets Mahiro worried.
Sometime later, Mihari is waiting for her date at the mall. Mahiro has secretly followed her and is watching her from afar with a Santa outfit disguise. It is also revealed that she asked Momiji to tag along with her. Momiji asks Mahiro why she asked her to meet so suddenly on a day like this. Mahiro remarks that it is a date, and Momiji is shocked at that statement. Mahiro wonders when Mihari started something like this, and says that she has to see who seduced Mihari with her own eyes. Momiji lets out a sigh of relief that it is Mihari's date, and Mahiro tells her that she is here as her bodyguard, due to it being so crowded.
Mihari hears the voice of the person she's meeting apologizing for keeping her waiting, and Mahiro notes that this is it. She and Momiji are shocked to see that the person that Mihari is meeting is Kaede. Kaede apologizes to Mihari for running late, and Mihari playfully tells Kaede that she'll never forgive her, leading to them both laughing. Mahiro lets out a sigh of relief, noting that she did suspect that Mihari was just seeing a friend, but got worried when Mihari called it a "date". Momiji is surprised that Mahiro has such a sister complex.
Mahiro calls the whole thing a load off and begins to head home when Momiji stops her. She suggests that since they're already here, they may as well keep following them. She adds that they still don't know if Mihari and Kaede are in a lesbian relationship or not. Mahiro is surprised that Momiji would think that, only expecting to hear Miyo say something like that. Mahiro realizes that since she was the one who asked Momiji to come, she shouldn't just go and call it off immediately.
Mahiro decides to allow it, and declares that the chase it back on. Momiji is completely on board with it. Kaede then notices the two, but they slip behind a wall before she gets a good look. Mihari asks her what's wrong, and Kaede remarks that she must be seeing things.
First, Mihari and Kaede enjoying a bucket of fried chicken, while Mahiro and Momiji watch while hiding behind a Colonel Sanders statue dressed as Santa Claus. Second, Mihari and Kaede then get some tapioca, which Mahiro and Momiji also get themselves shortly afterwards. Finally, Mihari and Kaede pick out clothes, while Mahiro and Momiji watch them while hiding in the dressing room.
Mahiro notes that it seems like regular old clothes shopping to her, which Momiji agrees at while smiling. Mahiro decides that she's satisfied with this and notes that she is a little tired. Mahiro asks Momiji if she wants to go home, but Momiji isn't ready. She tells Mahiro that she wants to look at clothes too and tells Mahiro to pick out something as well.
As the two look at clothes, Mahiro silently complains, noting that now it's like the two of them are the ones on a date. She thinks how anyone watching them would think that Momiji is her boyfriend. Momiji finds something she likes and asks Mahiro what she thinks. Mahiro, with her mind elsewhere, says no to it and decides to do something, confusing Momiji.
Mahiro dresses Momiji up in an extremely cute and feminine outfit, which leaves Momiji extremely embarrassed. Mahiro jumps for joy at how cute Momiji is, thinking to herself that now they look like a pair of normal female friends. Momiji complains about the skirt being short and asks Mahiro if they can find something less cute and more dashing. Mahiro collapses on the ground refusing, insisting that it has to be cute. Mahiro gets Momiji another outfit, to which Momiji complains about it having a lot of ruffles. Mahiro insists that she put it on, as they're already trying on clothes anyway.
As Mahiro is about to look in and see how Momiji looks in the new outfit, Mihari and Kaede spot her and ask what she is doing there. Mahiro panics while Kaede realizes that Mahiro has been tailing them from the start. Mahiro is amazed that she knew, being impressed with how perceptive Kaede is. Kaede asks where Momiji is, also figuring out that she was there as well. Mihari in excitement asks Mahiro if she and Momiji were on a date, something that Mahiro denies. Kaede sees Momiji's shoes outside a fitting area and tears open the curtain, above Mahiro's protests, saying that she's got her and calling her a little sneak.
It's revealed that Momiji has put on a maid-style Lolita dress. Kaede is impressed, with Mihari remarking how cute Momiji is. Momiji suddenly makes a hand signal and remarks that this outfit is dashing in it's own way. Mihari is shocked by the reaction, Kaede is confused by it, and Mahiro tells Momiji not to let this awaken anything in her.
Later that night, Mihari calls Mahiro out on everything that happened. She asks Mahiro how long she and Momiji have been dating, to which Mahiro tells her not to make fun of her. Mahiro then points out that Mihari said that she was going on a date, but in actuality just went shopping with Kaede. Mihari asks Mahiro if she was worried about her, and Mahiro says that it wasn't that. Mihari laughs, and apologizes, saying that she had a reason to keep her outing a secret.
She takes a scarf out of her bag and puts it on Mahiro, telling her "Merry Christmas" and saying that this was that reason for keeping it a secret. Mahiro understands, and notes that Mihari really got her this time. Mihari also tells her that the scarf is a matched pair with one that Kaede got for Momiji. Mahiro asks her why that would be.
It is then revealed that Momiji is wearing the matching scarf, enjoying how dashing it feels while Kaede looks on in confusion.
