Summary[]
Mihari works in the lab all night, so Mahiro is left home by herself.
Plot[]
Mihari tells Mahiro that they need some time apart. Mahiro is shocked and remarks to Mihari that she can't do this, asking what she did wrong. Mihari tells Mahiro to calm down, saying that it is just a turn of phrase. She explains that it's just a turn of phrase, as she needs to work on something critical in the lab so she'll be staying overnight at the university. Mihari asks Mahiro if she can hold down the fort, and Mahiro's worries go away. She says that she was made for this as she is a professional "own-home security guard", though Mihari disagrees on the use of the term 'professional'.
Mihari asks Mahiro if she can handle dinner on her own, leaving some cash just in case. Mahiro says that she can buy something from the corner store. Mihari also tells Mahiro to do the cleaning, but Mahiro makes no promises to that. Mahiro says that she'll be fine, despite Mihari's doubts. Mihari leaves and Mahiro waves her off.
Mahiro rejoices at finally being free, saying that she can do whatever she wants wherever she wants. She says that she can be as messy as she wants. She then remembers that she can always get delivery for dinner, and decides to change into something more comfortable. She decides that there is nothing more comfortable then one of her old (now oversized) male shirts. Sher remarks that she missed this a lot and even notices the floppy sleeves. She then gets all gloomy, wondering why she is happy about that.
Mahiro decides to instead play some video games, but quickly gets bored by it. She decides that the game is alright but realizes that ever since she became a girl, Mihari has always been checking up on her for something. She realizes that she's gotten so used to her dropping in to hang out, but brushes off the thought as it makes her almost sound like she's lonely.
To get her mind off it, Mahiro decides to order something for dinner and gets a massive feast of two pizzas, soda, chicken nuggets, and fries. Mahiro is overjoyed by the meal, but doesn't feel any better while eating it and decides to take a bath and go to bed.
The next morning, Mihari returns and finds Mahiro in a vegetative state with her hair all messed up. She deduces that Mahiro went to bed with wet hair again and begins combing it, remarking that Mahiro is completely helpless when she is not there.
Mahiro quickly turns around and hugs Mihari much to her surprise. She asks Mahiro if anything is wrong, to which Mahiro says that it's nothing and turns around, calling Mihari a jerk.
