Mahiro and a Sleepy Day (まひろと眠い日, Mahiro To Nemui Hi) is a special chapter of Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!. It was originally published in Collected Works Volume 3 which was released on December 30, 2020.
Summary[]
Mahiro accidently pulls an all-nighter playing Lost Quest IX on a school night.
Plot[]
On Sunday, Mahiro plays away at Lost Quest IX in her bedroom. She is determined to beat the game in one shot, saying that she can't lose to a couple of young ones; Yuta and Minato.
After many hours of playing, Mahiro beats the game and sighs in relief that its finally over. She says that at long last she can go to sleep, and looks at her alarm to see when she'll have to wake up. Much to her shock, her alarm reads 6:52 AM, which is less than half an hour before she's normally supposed to get up for school.
In class, Mahiro is passed out across her desk due to not getting any sleep. Miyo asks what's wrong with her, and Momiji says that Mahiro is sleep deprived.
Asahi tells them to leave it to her, and attempts to lift Mahiro out of her seat. She says that if she just moves her body, her drowsiness will immediately disappear. When that doesn't work, Asahi decides to try a little trick, and begins tickling Mahiro from behind.
Although Mahiro stirs a bit, she still fails to wake up, leading Momiji and Miyo to realize that this is really something big.
Momiji puts her arm between Mahiro and Asahi and yells for Asahi to stop it already. Asahi is shocked that that didn't work, remarking that this was tougher than she thought. Momiji says that Mahiro looks pretty cute like this, and suggests that they just let her sleep it off. Asahi agrees and apologizes for trying to wake Mahiro up. In the seat in front of Mahiro, Nemu is also sleeping, albeit in an upright position.
Miyo gets out her tracksuit jacket and, with Momiji's support, puts it over Mahiro like a blanket to keep her warm.
Mari eventually comes around and asks Nemu a question. She tries to ask Mahiro a question as well, but can't bring herself to wake her up as she looks so adorable when she's asleep.
Sometime later, Mahiro finally wakes up and cries out "February!". She then yawns and notes that she slept well. She then realizes that everyone in class is staring at her with a smile, and Mari greets her. Mahiro just smiles, a bit embarrassed, and tries to think of how to respond. She realizes that it is good that she lives in such a gentle world.
Later, Asahi uses her tickling method on Nemu and manages to wake her up successfully with it.
