Summary[]
After the hot spring trip, Mahiro, Mihari, Kaede, and Momiji go to a karaoke bar.
Plot[]
At at a karaoke bar called the Karaoke Kingdom, Mahiro, Mihari, Momiji, and Kaede meet up. Using the mic, Kaede thanks them all for their hard work during the hot spring trip the other day, and the four toast to it.
As Mahiro sips her drink, she notes that she wasn't sure about going on the trip, but she noticed that they all seemed to be having fun.
Momiji asks Mahiro if she's ever been to a karaoke bar before. Much to her shock, Mahiro mentions that she has been, and mentions that she went with Kaede, which Kaede confirms. Momiji is shocked, and a caption reveals that it involves events that happened on Drama CD 2.
Momiji calls it unfair and says that they should've invited her. Kaede apologizes, saying that it was a spur-of-the-moment decision, but adds that she has a video. Mihari gets a bit angry and calls it rude that she didn't know about this either. She brushes it off though, feeling giddy that now she gets to see the real thing, much to Mahiro's shock. She pushes for Mahiro to begin, despite Mahiro's protests.
Mahiro stands in front of everyone, extremely nervous. Mihari bangs a tambourine and yells for Mahiro to let them hear it. Mahiro then cries in Kaede's chest, saying that she can't sing with everyone staring at her like that. Mihari is a bit upset, but Kaede tries to comfort Mahiro, saying that Mihari has the same problem. Seeing that Mahiro is shy, Kaede asks Mihari to sing first, much to her shock.
Mihari gets up and decides what song she wants, but asks them all not to laugh. Mihari begins singing, and it turns out not to be in a way that impresses anybody. Kaede claims that she usually sings much better, while Mahiro doesn't know how to react.
Mihari tells Kaede to go next, and Kaede picks out a duet for them both to sing. This time, when the two sing together, Mahiro is amazed at what she hears and perks up.
The karaoke session gets lievely, as when Momiji sings, Mahiro joins in by playing the tambourine. Eventually, Momiji tells Mahiro that it's her turn. Mahiro isn't as nervous anymore, deciding that it can't be helped.
As soon as Mahiro begins singing the song "From Here", everyone is amazed at how good her singing voice is. When the song ends, she thanks everyone. Kaede remarks that Mahiro is the best, while Mihari is left shocked at Mahiro's talent.
As Mahiro eagerly begins picking out another song with Momiji, Kaede whispers to Mihari that all she needs to do is say the word to get the video she took of the last karaoke session. Mihari considers it, but thinks to herself that she thinks she's good.
As they leave the bar, Mahiro is still in the mood and won't stop talking about how she kept singing. Momiji tells her playfully to calm down, then notes that Mahiro seems to know a lot of old songs. This remark about old songs makes Mahiro feel old and hits her like a stab. It reveals the generational difference that she had at this point forgotten about.
