Mahiro runs into Yuta and Minato on her way to purchase a new game.
Plot[]
Mahiro walks happily down the street and notes that today is "New Game Release Day". The game in question is Last Fantasia XI, the newest game in the popular Last Fantasia series, which is the rival to her old favorite Lost Quest series.
She notes that she forgot to preorder it online, which she considers a big mistake. She says that she could've always downloaded it, but she'd rather have a physical copy to line up on her shelves with the others. As she sees people going about her daily lives, she thinks how she never would've left home for something like this in the past, and notes that somewhere along the way she really did become an upstanding citizen. She then notices something that catches her eye.
It turns out that Mahiro saw Yuta and Minato walking down the street ahead of her. She calls out to them and notes that it's fancy seeing them here. The boys are surprised to see her, and wind up enthralled by her beauty which is enhanced by the sunny day. Mahiro asks them if they're having a day out. Minato nervously says yes to this, with Yuta adding that they're buying a video game. Mahiro is excited about this, and has a good feeling that since it's today of all days, she knows exactly which one it is. The three all admit that it's Last Fantasia XI.
Mahiro immedietly hugs the two from behind, much to their surprise, referring to them as her "fellow gamers". She notes that she's also out buying it as well and asks if they want to go out together. The boys are shocked by the phrase "go out together", and eagerly agree saying that they'd love to, much to Mahiro's shock.
The three begin to walk down the street together. Yuta asks Mahiro if she wants to just hit the electronics store by the train station, and Mahiro admits after a few seconds of thought that that's the only real option. She notes that there aren't too many specialty shops around these days, which leaves Minato confused. Mahiro explains that she was referring to game stores in town, and explains that there used to be a whole bunch of them. Yuta understands, but wonders if there really were any. Asking Minato, he remarks that there may have been some back when they were in kindergarten, leading Mahiro to gulp as she forgot how much older she actually is compared to these two.
After shopping at the Pig Camera electronics store and being thanked by the salesperson, Mahiro smiles over having gotten the game. She is glad that they had it in stock, which Yuta and Minato agree with. Mahiro notes that that's all of her shopping for the day and begins to walk away saying that she'll see them later. Yuta and Minato are shocked by this and beg her to wait. Looking around for an excuse, Minato sees a Wucd restaurant across the street and suggests that they all grab lunch since they're already here. Yuta offers to buy Mahiro a burger. Mahiro is very surprised, noting that she wanted to get home and start playing, but admits that she can't really bring herself to refuse them. She ultimately agrees to this, admitting that it is around lunchtime, much to the boys' delight. As they walk in, Mahiro notes that they don't need to pay for her, as they're too young for that. The boys agree to those terms.
As the three all sit down with trays and drinks, there is a large amount of awkward silence in the air at Yuta and Minato have no idea what to say. Mahiro tells them that there's no need to be so nervous, to which the boys frantically insist that this is how they always are. Mahiro chuckles and notes to herself that these two are kind of cute when they act like this. She then assures herself that she doesn't mean this in a weird way, as she just feels like a veteran seeing newbies on their first day; a veteran of the go-home club. She notes that as they elder, she should nip this in the bud.
To break the ice, Mahiro asks them if they prefer Lost Quest or Last Fantasia. The two both agree that they prefer Last Fantasia, with Minato adding that the art is really pretty. Mahiro agrees with that, noting that the graphics on Last Fantasia VII blew her away. Minato agrees with that, referring to the remake. Mahiro becomes flustered, having once again misspoken, but eventually convinces them that she was indeed talking about the remake.
Mahiro says that she still likes Lost Quest best, as it had that retro appeal, to which Yuta agrees. Mahiro says that she really likes that whole "Legendary Hero" thing. As this goes on, she notes that they'll be more engaged if they talk about video games.
Eventually, their order is called out. Minato is delighted that their burgers are here. Mahiro calls the server over, only to gasp when she sees who it is.
The server turns out to be Kaede, who welcomes Mahiro. Mahiro notes in a panic that she forgot that Kaede works here. Kaede sees Yuta and Minato and discretely asks Mahiro if she's on a date. Mahiro panics and vehemently denies it, after which Kaede giggles immensely. Mahiro flumps against the back of the booth, thinking that Kaedes shouldn't even joke about that, as she's just having a day out with her fellow guys. She then realizes that looking back on it objectively, she lured them in with videogames, but now they're lapdogs to her princess. Mahiro cringes upon the realization that she's truly a devilish girl.
Yuta and Minato are confused by this, while Kaede gets an idea and tells them to wait a sec. She quickly brings them two helpings of fries. Minato is confused as they didn't order any fries, but Kaede says that it's her treat. She tells them to enjoy them and have a nice time together. She then quickly leans in close and wishes the boys good luck. Yuta and Minato are awestruck at Kaede's colossal bust size. After this, Kaede makes a hand sign and walks away.
Seeing Yuta and Minato's reaction, Mahiro's mood sinks and she takes a bite of her burger while saying that on second thought they're going to pay for the food after all. The boys are left completely confused as Mahiro becomes strangely dissatisfied.
Soon after, Satsuki and Minori notice the boys having lunch with Mahiro and angrily berate them from outside the restaurant.
