Mahiro and the Parent-Teacher Conference

Mahiro and the Parent-Teacher Conference (まひろと三者面談, Mahiro To Sanshamendan) is Chapter 48.5 of Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!. It was originally published in Doujinshi Volume 16 which was released on February 21, 2021.

Summary[]

Mihari meets up with Mahiro's homeroom teacher after Parent Visitation Day.

Plot[]

After conversing with Chitose and Nayuta, Mihari suggests to Mahiro that they go and say hi to Mahiro's teacher.

Mihari steps into the office with Mahiro and immediately recognizes Mari, who in turn recognizes her back. Mihari explains that Mari was her own homeroom teacher when she was still in middle school. Mahiro is amazed at the coincidence, and Mari notes that she was still new to the job back then. She mentions that she heard that Mihari was admitted to university early and congratulates her, causing Mihari to chuckle.

Mari then completely changes her personality and says that she must question Mihari's outfit, much to Mihari's surprise. She says that even if Mihari's work uniform has an an air of professionalism about it, it's hardly appropriate garb for something like parent visitation day, asking if she wouldn't want to the draw that bad sort of attention to Mahiro. Mihari is left completely embarrassed.

Mari realizes what she is doing and apologizes, having forgotten that she's not Mihari's teacher any longer. Mahiro is happy to see this and asks her to please continue, while Mihari says that she'll keep Mari's advice in mind.

As they leave the office, Mihari is amazed, not having expected that Mari would lecture her. Mahiro points out that she reaps what she sows. Mihari points out that Mari is so strict about appearances, and Mahiro says "tell me about it", remembering the times that Mari reprimanded her.

It is revealed that Mari reprimanded Kaede in her third year for wearing lipstick, causing Kaede to get shocked over having been busted.

The events of this chapter take place during the events of the previous chapter "Mahiro and Visitation Day", after the conversation with Chitose and Nayuta and before Mihari and Mahiro return home.
Mahiro indirectly references the two times that Mari previously reprimanded her for violating the dress code. The first was in "Mahiro Pretties Up" for wearing lipstick, and the second was in "Mahiro and the Perfume" for wearing perfume.
