Summary[]
While picking up Mihari's dry cleaning, Mahiro runs into Asahi who proceeds to take Mahiro on an adventure.
Plot[]
On the weekend, Mahiro relaxes by napping on the couch. Mihari comes over to her and angrily asks if it's time for her to get up. Mahiro isn't ready to get up, saying that it's still before noon. Mihari tells Mahro that she should go for a walk and catch some sun, as the serotonin will wake her up. Mihari starts tickling Mahiro from behind to get her to move, which causes Mahiro to laugh hysterically.
Mihari adds that she also has an errand for Mahiro. She says that she dropped some of her old summer clothes off at the dry cleaner' since she intends for Mahiro to wear them now. As she gives Mahiro the dry cleaners' ticket, Mahiro is surprised that that is supposed to be the reward. Mihari adds that there will be a reward for Mahiro when she gets back. Mahiro gets excited and says she'll do it right away, calling Mihari "onee-chan" to sweeten the deal.
Mahiro goes to the dry cleaner and retrieves the laundry, noting that her mission is completed. She is in disbelief that she is running errands like a goody two shoes and remarks that she's gone soft. She decides that this was all done for the reward and gets fired up thinking about it. She decides that there is no need to waste the day out here in the sun, and prepares to head home to play some video games.
Just then, someone places their hand on Mahiro's shoulder and says "Hey". Mahiro is scared and hides behind a pole. Mahiro is relived to see that it is just Asahi, who upon seeing Mahiro behind the pole thinks that she's playing hide and seek. Asahi explains that she is out for her morning walk, and Mahiro comments that she seems as energetic as usual. Mahiro explains that she was just running for an errand and that she's on her way home now. Asahi gets intrigued, and says that it sounds like it's time for the two of them to go exploring. Asahi then drags Mahiro by the hand saying "Let's go", much to Mahiro's confusing and despite Mahiro trying to protest.
Asahi starts by trying to hunt for treasure, which Mahiro is mildly amused by. Asahi looks in a garbage can, but becomes overwhelmed by the smell, forcing Mahiro to drag her away from it.
Asahi sees a cat stuck in a tree and decides to climb the tree to get it down, despite Mahiro being worried for her safety. Asahi gets the cat down, but the cat swipes at Mahiro when she tries to pet it. Asahi laughs out loud at this.
After their little adventure, Mahiro slumps on a park bench and remarks that she's exhausted, leading Asahi to comment that Mahiro has no stamina. Asahi's stomach grumbles, and she remarks that she is hungry from running everywhere. Mahiro sees that it is noon, and definetly lunchtime. She begins to suggest that they split here, but Asahi interrupts her and says that she knows where they can go. Mahiro cringes over having to do even more.
The two go to a burger restuarant called WCUD. Mahiro becomes shocked to see the cashier is Kaede, who is happy to see Mahiro. She is less than happy though to see Asahi, with there being some sort of history between them involving this place. Asahi tells Kaede to hook her up, which Kaede says that she can't do. Kaede ultimately relents, but agrees to only give her a free soda. Asahi beams, while Mahiro tells Kaede that she doesn't have to do that. Mahiro pulls on Asahi's cheeks and realizes that this is what Asahi meant when she said she knew a place (as she's used Kaede working here to get free food before), calling her a naughty kid. Asahi apologizes, but Kaede laughs and tells them not to worry about it. She further explains that Asahi is like her own little sister, and the it's been like this ever since she herself was a kid.
Kaede gives Asahi a cola, and Asahi gets excited. As she picks up the tray, the cola starts to wobble and Mahiro gets worried. The cola falls over and spills onto Asahi. Asahi starts to cry, wondering if this is karma, and a concerned Kaede asks her what she is doing. Asahi notes that even her shorts are soaked and gets all gloomy. Mahiro decides to help her out and gives her the bag with Mihari's clothing. She claims that it has her own clothes in it and tells Asahi to go change in the bathroom and put her wet clothes in the bag. Asahi is immediately thankful and tells Mahiro that she's in her debt.
Kaede asks Mahiro if she's really okay lending Asahi her clothes, which causes Mahiro to say that Asahi's smiling face is more important. Mahiro notes if only Asahi would take things down a few notches, and Kaede agrees.
Asahi return from the bathroom and announces that she's back. Mahiro and Kaede are shocked to see that the clothes in the bag contained an extremely ruffled sailor dress that makes Asahi look extremely adorable. Kaede notes how fresh this is and notes that the wild girl has been transformed. Mahiro also notes that it is super cute, with both comments causing Asahi to chuckle. Asahi becomes extremely delicate when trying to sit down, much to Mahiro's surprise. Asahi blushes and admits that she feels a bit off balance wearing this. Kaede and Mahiro can't get enough of this, noting that an unexpected solution has been found for her.
As the two finish eating, Mahiro thanks Asahi for the meal, noting that it's good that Kaede gave her another soda. Asahi makes a prayer sign and thanks Kaede. She tells Mahiro that she'll have the dress washed and give it back to her. Mahiro thanks her for that, imaging that Mihari is going to be very angry at her for losing it.
Asahi says that now that they are fed and watered, she wonders what Mahiro wants to do for the afternoon, causing Mahiro to fall backwards. Mahiro notes that Asahi has a real one track mind and rubs her hair saying "there, there", much to Asahi's confusion. Asahi says "What can I say? I'm always me" and smiles.
Sometime later, Mahiro arrives back home and announces it, but notes that she's beat. Mihari welcomes Mahiro back, noting that was out quite a while. Mihari decides to see how the clothes look, and is confused to find something different that what she was expecting. Mahiro says that she ended up bringing back Asahi's clothes, which leaves Mihari speechless. Mahiro tells Mihari to just wash them for Asahi, which causes Mihari to wonder what the heck is going on.
Later on, Mahiro wears Asahi's freshly cleaned clothes and enjoys them, this being the first opportunity in forever that she's had a chance to wear boyish clothing.
