Onii-chan wa Oshimai! Wiki

General Rules

  1. Keep it civil: Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use bigoted language, including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in a two week ban from the wiki. Repeated failures afterwards may result in an indefinite ban from the wiki.
  2. Be a productive member of the wiki: Contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an administrator! Disrupting the wiki with “edit warring” over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
  3. Do not engage in excessive self-promotion: The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
  4. Do not harass other users: If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall, respect their wishes. It is their wall.
  5. Do follow community guidelines for formatting (see below): When a community has established formatting, it’s important to adhere to that, especially when spoiler content is involved.

Formatting

NOTE: All pages are to be written with an in-universe non-personal perspective (the only exception of this is if during plot descriptions a character breaks the fourth wall by relaying information directly to the reader/viewer). AKA - No "the main character of" and no writing your own feelings into the text.

Images of Manga

Images for manga will be permitted to a degree, but if included, any speech bubbles with standard words must be whited out first to avoid copyright infringement (Ex: See Mihari's Wardrobe Afterwards as example page to follow). Speech bubbles that contain no actual words such as "..." or unpronounceable symbols will be permitted.

Character Pages

NOTE: A Character page should only be created if the first name or last name of the character has been confirmed in the manga.

Character pages are to be formatted as follows (use Mahiro Oyama as an example page to follow):

  • Pages are to be named using the western naming style if both the first name and last name are known. Ex: Oyama Mahiro page is named Mahiro Oyama.
  • Introduction Section: Character name in bold, in parenthesis Japanese name in both Kanji and Romaji. Short description of character.
  • CharacterInfobox: All relevant sections filled out accordingly.
  • Appearance: A description of the Character's appearance (both past and present) if relevant.
  • Personality: A description of the Character's personality (both past and present) if relevant.
  • Relationships: Description of the Character's relationships with any relevant individuals.
  • Early Life (Optional): A description of anything that happened to the Character before the start of the series.
  • History: A description of any any events that the Character has participated in since their introduction in the series.
  • Etymology: A breakdown of the meaning of the character's name
  • Trivia: Any fun facts about the characters
  • Gallery: Any posted images of the character (with descriptions)
  • Appearances: A list detailing all chapters that the character appears in the manga, and all episodes that the character appears in the anime.
  • Add Category:Characters to all Character pages.

Be Sure to:

  • Create appropriate redirects for any characters with first and last names to aid searches. Ex: Mahiro Oyama has extra redirects from Oyama Mahiro and Mahiro for those familiar with Japanese spelling or first name or last name only.

Chapter Pages

NOTE: A Chapter page should only be created if the chapter has been published on Pixiv or published in English (the only exceptions to this rule are chapters not included in the English language releases such as EX chapters). In the event of only the former, the page will be referred to as "Chapter `Chapter#`" until that chapter is published in English. Once published in English, the page will be moved to a new page with the official English title of the Chapter while leaving a redirect behind.

Chapter Pages are to be formatted as follows (use Mahiro, Even On Heavy Days as an example page to follow):

  • Introduction Section: Chapter Title in bold, in parenthesis Japanese name in both Kanji and Romaji. Short description of which Chapter it is.
  • Chapter Infobox: Fill out all relevant sections, include image of english title
  • Summary: Short description of chapter's plot.
  • Plot: More detailed direct description of the plot.
  • Characters: List of all characters that appear in the chapter.
  • Trivia: Any fun facts related to the chapter.
  • Add Category:Manga and Category:Chapters to page. Be sure to then add appropriate category depending on what kind of chapter it is: Category:Main Chapters for all regular chapters (1, 2, 3, etc), Category:0.1 -0.9 Chapters for all in-between chapters (Chapter 1.5, Chapter 41.5, etc.), Category:Bonus Chapters for all bonus chapters, and Category:Special Chapters for all special chapters. See individual categories for more information.

Be Sure to:

  • Add appropriate redirects to ease searching including "Chapter `Chapter#`" and "Step `Chapter#`"

Episode Pages

NOTE: Episode pages are to be created only once the previous episode has aired and this new one is confirmed. They must be created using the format "Episode `Episode#`" where they will stay until the episode officially airs the following week. Afterwards, the page will be moved to one with the official episode title and a redirect will be left behind.

Episode Pages are to be formatted as follows (use Mahiro's Confusing New Body (anime) as an example page to follow):

  • Introduction Section: Episode Title in bold, in parenthesis Japanese name in both Kanji and Romaji. Short description of which Episode it is.
  • EpisodeInfobox: Fill out all relevant sections, include image of on-screen title if applicable.
  • Summary: Short description of episode's plot.
  • Plot: More detailed direct description of the plot.
  • Characters: List of all characters that appear in the episode.
  • Trivia: Any fun facts related to the episode.
  • Add Category:Anime and Category:Episodes to page.
