Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister! (お兄ちゃんはおしまい!, Onii-chan wa Oshimai!) is a Japanese anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Nekotofu. It originally aired on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and BS11 from January 5, 2023 to March 23, 2023.
Plot[]
The series follows Mahiro Oyama, a NEET and otaku living with his scientist younger sister Mihari. One day he wakes up as a young girl, a result of one of Mihari's experiments. Mahiro must now learn to live as a middle school girl, all while making friends in his new school.
Production[]
An anime television series adaptation was announced on April 22, 2022. It is produced by Studio Bind and directed by Shingo Fujii, with scripts written by Michiko Yokote, character designs handled by Ryo Imamura, and music composed by Daisuke Achiba and Alisa Okehazama. The series premiered on January 5, 2023, on AT-X and other networks. The opening theme song is "Identeitei Meltdown" (アイデン貞貞メルトダウン) by P Maru-sama and Enako, while the ending theme song is "Himegoto * Cry Sisters" (ひめごと＊クライシスターズ) by Marika Kōno, Kaori Ishihara, Hisako Kanemoto, and Minami Tsuda. Crunchyroll has licensed the series outside of Asia. Medialink has licensed the series in South and Southeast Asia.
According to the series official website, a single season of 12 episodes have been ordered with plans to release them in two separate Blu-ray volumes. The first volume was released on April 19, 2023 containing episodes 1-6, and the second volume was released on June 21, 2023 containing episodes 7-12.
