Story of Falling Objects (落下物の話, Rakka-mono No Hanashi) is Chapter 1 of Niwasaki Diary. It was originally published on Pixiv on August 18, 2020.

Summary[]

Anna Niwasaki notices numerous things that have fallen into her garden.

Plot[]

One morning, Anna is tending to her garden. All of a sudden, a shrimp lands by her shovel causing her to shriek. She notes that it probably landed there after some toddler tossed their food off a nearby veranda, and hopes that they don't hit her vegetables.

As the day goes on, Anna finds numerous other objects in her garden. She finds spilled white rice by her plants, a piece of cake splattered across her fence, and boiled noodles. The latter causes her to become very confused.

Eventually, she finds an eel in the garden. Entranced by it's presence, she notes that today is magnificent. Before she knows it though, the day ends.
